This blog was set-up in order to record and share new lessons we’ve learned each day. These are things that made us see life in a different light, increased our Iman, and/or our understanding of life.

We know that if we’re not going up, we’re probably going down. So if we’re not learning something new each day to nurture our Iman, then our spiritual growth is minimal, if not non-existant. We are encouraged as Muslims to “lesson (i.e. listen) to ourselves,” contemplate, and reflect over the creation of Allah, especially ourselves.

يا أيها الذين آمنوا عليكم أنفسكم لا يضركم من ضل إذا اهتديتم إلى الله مرجعكم جميعا فينبئكم بما كنتم تعملون

O ye who believe! Guard your own souls: If ye follow (right) guidance, no hurt can come to you from those who stray. the goal of you all is to Allah: it is He that will show you the truth of all that ye do.
